Sparano Still Front-Runner Among 4 Dolphins Candidates
Dallas Cowboys assistant head coach Tony Sparano
may soon change teams.
The Associated Press reports Sparano has been considered a
front-runner for the Miami Dolphins head coaching job.
The Cowboys lost their playoff game to the New York Giants.
Tennessee defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz today became the
fourth candidate to interview with Miami.
Sparano, who worked with new Dolphins boss Bill Parcells and new general manager Jeff Ireland when they were in Dallas, interviewed January 5th.
The Dolphins also interviewed Minnesota defensive coordinator
Leslie Frazier and former Baltimore defensive coordinator Rex Ryan.
Ireland has said it's important that he and Parcells be familiar
with the new coach.
Sparano also interviewed for head coaching jobs with Baltimore
and Atlanta.
Miami fired Cam Cameron after he went 1-15 in his first year as
an NFL head coach.
