Still Waiting on Ted Ginn
In the last eight NFL drafts, 14 wide receivers have been chosen among the top 10 picks. Ted Ginn Jr. of the Dolphins is the only one who didn't record a catch in his first two games.
Two games is far too early to judge a player, but still: The guy who made Dolphins fans boo on draft day hasn't done anything to make them cheer so far. Quarterback Trent Green comes to Ted Ginn Jr.'s defense:
"Obviously there's high expectations," Green said. "But it's his second game. He's not a starter, he's a third, fourth guy who rotates in there. ... Be patient."
Yeah, he's not a starter, but isn't that part of the problem? And what about the big impact Ted Ginn Jr. was supposed to make on special teams? He's returned all of the Dolphins' punts and kickoffs, but he hasn't broken any big ones yet.
Again: It's just two weeks. But when the team is 0-2 and the fans didn't like the pick in the first place, Ted Ginn Jr. needs to make a highlight-reel play soon.
